She's back. And she's TWO!

I had the best time on Monday night playing with a family that I've gotten to know over the last two years. In 2008, I took their maternity photos. How beautiful are they? [Remember you can click on images to see them larger!]

And then sweet baby A arrived and I got to photograph her.

They came back 8 months later and I loved so many of the images from this shoot.

Now Miss A is two. And I was thrilled that mom contacted me about taking photos for her this summer. Little did we know that it was going to be SO HOT on Monday night, but we sweated it out and I think it was worth it. I haven't seen pictures of Miss A in awhile and I was blown away by how gorgeous she is. I mean, seriously...do you see those curls? She was willing to follow me around and find new places to take pictures...though she didn't sit long. So basically we ran around and got what we could. And in between, she took a peak at the pictures on the back of my camera. Her momma (who she calls "Bob" - which is about the cutest thing EVER) is about as pretty as they come. Two beautiful ladies...

In an effort to get a smile or a giggle or something her parents were busy singing "Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...please shine down on meeeeeee." And so she's looking for Mr. Sun!

I couldn't decide if I like the black and white better.

Sweet kisses for "Bob."

Checking out the cows in the pasture. "Hi Cow."

And about now she decided that she was done. And wanted to sit in the parking lot.

And how do you know that a two year old is done with pictures? Oh, they let you know.

But mommy still managed to get a few giggles out of her.

All done!

Dance Photography

I had the great pleasure of photographing my niece today in her array of dance costumes. Wow the camera just LOVED her (and so do I)!

Dance Photography

What fun tonight was for me to step outside of my comfort zone (photographing kids) and try something a little different. I had a great time with T who was cashing in her gift certificate and wanted some photos for her portfolio. After getting rained out a few weekends ago, we were blessed with a gorgeous, warm October afternoon.
